Pre-K Tuition Application Update

The Catawba County Schools Pre-K tuition-paying application will open at 12:00 a.m. on Sunday, March 2.

The application release has been delayed as the district reviews a potential tuition cost adjustment, which requires Board of Education approval. Due to recent winter weather, the Board meeting needed for this action will take place later in February.

We appreciate your patience and understanding and will continue to share updates as they become available.

PUBLIC NOTICE OF SPECIAL-CALLED MEETING

Catawba County Board of Education

Pursuant to North Carolina General Statutes § 143-318.12 and Board Policy 2.3, notice is hereby
given that the Catawba County Board of Education will hold a special-called meeting as follows:

This special-called meeting is being held due to anticipated inclement weather conditions expected
on and before the Board’s regularly scheduled meeting date of January 26, 2026, which may impact
the ability to safely and effectively conduct Board business as scheduled.


The purpose of this special-called meeting is to conduct official Board business as permitted by law.
The meeting is open to the public, except for any portions that may be conducted in closed session
as authorized under N.C.G.S. § 143-318.11.


This notice is being provided to the public and the news media in accordance with North Carolina
law and applicable Board policy.
