Progress Reports and Work Ethic Rubric

Parents as we end the first nine weeks and begin the second we wanted to let you know of some changes here at MMS.

 We will be moving from sending out progress reports every 3 weeks to every 4 ½ weeks to align with the Maiden Feeder Schools.  This change will also allow for each teacher to send home a full page progress report containing more details in an easier to read format.

 The second change involves the work ethic rubric.  The rubric will change from 4 areas to 3 to eliminate redundancy.  The new rubric is below

Preparation and Organization

Ø  Has materials

Ø  On time

Ø  Demonstrates organizational skills

Ø  Work is neat and orderly

 

  • Always brings needed materials to class and is ready to work
  • Always in class on time, seated with appropriate materials at beginning of class
  • Work is always organized following assigned format
  • Appearance of work is always outstanding, clean and neat; writing is always legible
  • Usually brings needed materials to class and is ready to work
  • Usually in class on time, seated with appropriate materials at beginning of class; few tardies
  • Work is usually organized following assigned format
  • Appearance of work is usually outstanding, clean and neat; writing is usually legible
  • Occasionally brings needed materials but sometimes needs reminders and redirection.
  • Occasionally tardy or not seated with appropriate materials at beginning of class
  • Work is only occasionally organized following assigned format
  • Appearance of work is occasionally outstanding, clean and neat; writing is occasionally  illegible
  • Seldom brings needed materials and is rarely ready to get to work
