I have five plus years experience teaching middle school and high school students Drafting and Visual Arts. I am a former teacher and Direcotr at the CVCC Lab School, Child Development Center in Hickory, NC. I was also a former Student, Personnel, and Automation manager in the Circulation Department of Jackson Library at UNC- Greensboro.
My desire as an educator is to help all students reach their personal goals and help them discover their passion in life. I strive to provide a positive environment where they can feel good about themselves and celebrate their uniqueness. I also teach them the importance of art in our society as it relates to the past, present, and future. Through my travels to over 40 states and 14 countries, I try to share, with my students, the knowledge that I have acquired about other cultures, their art, their history and their architecture in various projects that we work on throughout the year.
I am proud to be the first Visual Arts teacher at Catawba Rosenwald Education Center. I teach middle school and high school students in the ESTEEM and CREC programs.
